Terms of Use
1. About the service
Birge is an app where people organize amateur games and play together: create games, join them, set up matches and keep score. We are starting with ping-pong; other sports are coming soon.
The service is provided by a private individual, the owner of the Birge project ("we"). The project is currently non-commercial and free; if that changes, we will update these documents and warn you in advance.
By continuing to sign in to Birge (the "Continue with Google" and "Get code" buttons on the sign-in screen) you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Birge. If you are 16 to 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or legal representative; by continuing to sign in, you confirm that you have it. If we learn that you are under 16, or that the required consent is missing, we will delete the account (also at the request of a parent or legal representative at [email protected]).
- You can sign in with a code sent by email or with Google. You are responsible for access to your email and Google account.
- Use your real or usual name. One person, one account.
- Never share your sign-in code with anyone.
3. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- send spam or advertising;
- create fake or non-existent games;
- use offensive or discriminatory names, game titles or notes;
- impersonate another person;
- interfere with the service, guess codes or bypass limits;
- enter other people's data without their consent.
We may hide a game or a venue that breaks the rules and, for a serious or repeated violation, close the account. We are not obliged to warn you in advance.
4. Games in the real world
Birge only helps people arrange games. We do not run games, rent venues or vet players.
- The organizer is responsible for their game: the time, place, roster, rules and the accuracy of what they publish.
- Entry fees, if any, are an arrangement between the organizer and the players. Birge does not take any money and is not responsible for it.
- You take part in games at your own risk. Consider your health and fitness, and follow venue and safety rules.
- Disputes with other players and organizers are for you to settle between yourselves.
5. Your content
The names, game titles, notes, venues and scores you enter remain yours. You allow us to store them and show them to other participants as part of the service. Enter only what you have the right to publish.
6. No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and free of charge. We do our best to keep it running reliably, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, that notifications will arrive on time, or that scores and standings will be free of mistakes.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses or harm connected with using Birge, including harm during games, the actions of other users, loss of data and service interruptions. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time: "Profile" → "Delete account". What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy. We may close an account that breaks the rules.
8. Changes
We may change the service and these terms. We will announce significant changes in the app or by email in advance. If you keep using Birge after a change, you agree to it. If you do not agree, delete your account.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We resolve disputes through negotiation; if we cannot agree, in court under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
